Section 47
Statement of Petroleum Expenses
: (1) The Contractor shall submit a statement of petroleum expenses to the Department disclosing the following within thirty (30) days after the end of each quarterly period:-
(a) Total amount of petroleum expenditure not carried forward from the previous quarterly period.
(b) The amount of petroleum expenses incurred during the quarter and allocated to the classification of expenses as determined by the department.
(c) The amount of petroleum expenditure incurred during the quarterly period after each accounting of the amount.
(d) the total amount of petroleum expenditure to be carried forward to the next quarterly period not exceeding the end of the quarterly period.
(2) All documents required to support the quarterly statement of petroleum expenditure not above shall be available at the contractor's office in Kathmandu for departmental inspection at any time of working in the office.
(3) Within one hundred and twenty (120) days after the end of the quarterly period covered by the statement of petroleum expenses, the department may notify the contractor of what it considers to be incorrect in such statement. Such notification should be in writing and such notification should also mention the things that are not correct in the said details and the reasons thereof. After receiving such notification, the contractor will contact the department and resolve it satisfactorily. If the department does not give such notice to the contractor within the mentioned period, such details shall be deemed to have been accepted.
(4) The department's right to disallow petroleum expenses shall be limited to expenses for which sufficient documents have not been submitted to prove that the expenses have been incurred and expenses that do not fall within the definition of petroleum expenses in paragraph-7.
(a) Total amount of petroleum expenditure not carried forward from the previous quarterly period.
(b) The amount of petroleum expenses incurred during the quarter and allocated to the classification of expenses as determined by the department.
(c) The amount of petroleum expenditure incurred during the quarterly period after each accounting of the amount.
(d) the total amount of petroleum expenditure to be carried forward to the next quarterly period not exceeding the end of the quarterly period.
